Fabric of Paris

Stories of the streets, railways and buildings of the most beautiful city in the world

About this blog

This blog aims to tell the story of some of the elements that make up the urban fabric of Paris: our streets, railways, parks and buildings. These places play an important role, both in the daily lives of residents and in any visit to the city, but we often give them little thought, even though they can have fascinating stories to tell.

About the author

Born and raised in a small town in southern England, I moved to Paris in 2014 after finishing my studies in London. Since then I’ve lived in various different parts of the city before settling in the 3rd arrondissement, on the edge of Le Marais. I’m fascinated by transport and urban planning and design, and this blog is an outlet for that passion. In my day job I’m a web developer.
